Dr. Stephen Wehrmann
Dr. Wehrmann graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Zoology. He went back to his hometown to earn a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. Go Tigers! He has written many articles regarding companion animal care that have appeared in regional and national publications, and has lectured at veterinary meetings and numerous companion pet organizations. Dr. Wehrmann hosted a national call in radio program and has written a book about dogs. Dr. Wehrmann has a special interest in surgery and avian medicine. He has provided quality, compassionate pet care for dogs, cats, and birds for many years at Bayshore Animal Hospital and has served as president for both the Pinellas Animal Foundation and the St. Petersburg Emergency Clinic.
Dr. Steven Sanders
Dr. Sanders received his Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 1986. He then received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from The University of Maryland in 1990 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 1996. He also belongs to the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Sanders started working at Bayshore in 1996 and has been an owner since 2001. He is also accredited through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
Dr. Sabrina Flores
Dr. Flores is originally from Garden Grove, CA. She grew up with a passion for animals and was always interested in learning about differences in various cultures. Her love for science and making a difference in helping animals and people led her to Ames, IA where she double majored in Animal Science and International Studies at Iowa State University. While attending Iowa State, Dr. Flores studied abroad in Ukraine and Spain where she studied the agriculture of each country and making connections to better the world’s resources.
After undergrad, Dr. Flores attended St. George’s University College of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. While on the Island, Dr. Flores participated in the One Health One Medicine and Speuter Day (Spay & Neuter) Programs. Each of the programs allowed her to work closely with animals and people in order to make a difference for the culture and medicine as a whole. She loves teaching and educating and still continues to keep in contact with the people of Grenada today.
Dr. Flores loves to travel. She has currently been to Ukraine, Spain, Amsterdam, Barbados, Grenada, Mexico, and 28 states within the United States. She plans on continuing her travels to other countries in the future.
Dr. Flores enjoys working on a variety of patients. Clinically, she has a special interest in endocrinology, gastroenterology, weight management and nutrition, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, wound therapy and management, laser therapy, and rehabilitation.
In her free time, Dr. Flores loves to go horseback riding, attending musicals, sight-seeing, road tripping, romantic/comedy movies, and of course spending time with her 4 four-legged friends (cats, Sasha, and Sushi and dogs, Dash and Surf).
Dr. Chris Learning
Dr. Learning is originally from New York and received his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Delaware. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. Dr Learning's interest within veterinary medicine include surgery, exotic animal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, Dr. Learning enjoys attending baseball games, socializing with friends, and exploring the city of St. Petersburg which he now calls home

Kimberly, CVT, CVPM
Kimberly received her B.A in Interpersonal Communication from the University of South Florida and an Associate Science in Veterinary Technology from St Petersburg College. She has worked in the veterinary industry for 20 years working in animal hospitals as a Certified Veterinary Technican, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, and has worked animal health distribution for 13 years.
Kimberly is certified in laser therapy and Fear Free Certified. She has volunteered with World Vets traveling to Peru and Honduras to help with the pet population and communities. She spends free time gardening, riding horses, is a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Client Concierge/Client Care Specialist
Susie has always had pets in her life. She loves outdoor activities including long walks, biking, and hiking. Susie enjoys spending time with her family and volunteers with her community and church. Her family includes a husband, daughter, a dog and a cat. Her pet’s names are Snickers and Spartacus. Susie cares deeply for clients and their pets at Bayshore Animal Hospital and has 30 + years of dedicated service. She will always go above and beyond to make them feel at home. Susie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of the South, in Sewanee, TN.
Client Care Specialist
Lynn has always had an interest in a variety of pets as well as different organizations. These include training and search and rescue. She has a number of pets in her family. These include two dogs, Bravo and Magnum and two rabbits named Brambles and Magic. She also has two birds, Timmy and Dickens.
Lynn will always try and help clients with a variety of pets and provide them with the information that they need to care for them. She has a very special interest in surgery and emergency medicine. Lynn has completed first responder certification through DART (Disaster Animal Response Team) within the state of Florida.

Anna has has a passion for animals from a young age and has had a variety of pets growing up. She has two German Shepherds named Niko and Bella. Anna is always eager to learn about animals and is always willing to help with any questions thta you may have about your pet. She is currently enrolled at St Petersburg College pursuing her Associates in Veterinary Technology. In her spare time she loves painting, drawing, photography and spending time with her pups.

Hello, my name is Laura. I am a graduate of University of South Florida with a major in Biology, and currently enrolled in PennFoster's Veterinary Assisting program. I have one dog named Matey, and 2 rabbits named Charlie and Misha. I enjoy reading, volunteering and spending time with my friends and family. I am excited to learn more about avian and exotic medicine at Bayshore Animal Hospital & Avian Practice.
Certified Veterinary Technician/ Lead Surgery Nurse
Glenda has always been passionate about animals. Having horses for many years, she enjoys riding and time outdoors. Glenda loves to spend time with family including her husband, two daughters, and their dogs, Gunner and Maddie. She has a special interest in surgical nursing and critical care. Glenda is also an advocate for pet dental care and is very skilled in dental radiology and dental cleaning procedures. She holds herself, and the Bayshore team to the highest of standards with patient care and has over 30 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Glenda has an Associate in Science degree from St. Petersburg College.
Certified Veterinary Technician/ Lead Exam Room Nurse
Olivia's passion for animal health care started at a young age when she would help her parents care for their foster animals. This passion blossomed into her desire to work in veterinary medicine. She graduated with her degree in Veterinary Nursing from St Petersburg College in 2018. Olivia is Fear Free Certified for both small mammal and avian species. Olivia has a special interest in exotic medicine and cytopathology. In her free time Oliva enjoys spending time with friends and family at the beach and taking care of her dog named Tillt, cat named Allie, and bearded dragon named Teddy.
I was born and raised in Rockville, Indiana. After graduating high school I enlisted into the United States Army. While enlisted I lived in Lawton, Oklahoma and served for 4 years. After completing our time with the military my fiance and our two sons moved to Florida. We have one bully mix that we adopted named Lukey-Loo. I am in school at St Petersburg College with the hopes of becoming Veterinary Technician. In addition I have an associates degree also obtained at SPC. I am Fear Free Certified and was a 10 year member in the Veterinary Program with Indiana 4-H and Purdue University.
Brooke is a New York native who relocated to the Tampa Bay Area in 2020. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Veterinary Technology, A.S through Penn Foster College. Brooke has had a passion for animals her entire life and has plenty of early memories with family pets. She is Fear Free Certified and has goals to one day become a Certified Veterinary Technician. In her free time, Brooke likes to go on hikes, go to the beach and try new restaurants

I am currently proud to be an assistant at Bayshore Animal Hospital & Avian Practice, each day I learn something new about Exotic Veterinary Medicine. I have one cat named Jules. I enjoy camping, creating art, exploring Florida's parks, and exploring Downtown St Pete.

Vivian is currently enrolled at St. Petersburg College pursuing her associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Vivian is Fear Free Certified and aspires to be a veterinarian technician herself. She has a love for all animals.
She loves spending time with her fiance, their cat, Kevin, and their dog, Kreuger. In her free time, she enjoys walking outdoors, playing video games, and spending time with her friends and family.
Taylor grew up in Michigan and she was excited to join the Bayshore team because of her desire to learn more about exotics. She currently has 3 snakes. A Diamond/Jungle/Jaguar Carpet Python named Dexter, a 6 ft Red Tail Boa named Rain and a Dumeril Boa named Khaleesi. Her hobbies include teaching Fresh Meat skaters at the Deadly Rival Roller Derby in St Petersburg.
Animal Care Attendant & Veterinary Assistant/ Team Trainer
Brian is a graduate of the Florida College of Natural Health. He works in our office helping with the pets who are boarding and the hospitalized patients. He also assist the team in the lab and helps the veterinary technicans with caring for your pet when they are here. He has four animals at home, two cats and two dogs. Brian loves animals and has been affectionately named "the animal whisperer" by his wife. He loves interacting and chatting with animals of all kinds and can't wait to meet your furry friends.
