Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could bring our pets on all of our adventures? Sadly, most establishments don’t allow dogs, cats, birds, snakes, etc., leaving pet owners wondering what to do with their beloved companions when it’s time to leave town.
Pet boarding is often the safest and most reliable option, especially if you’re choosing a trusted family veterinarian! At Bayshore Animal Hospital and Avian Practice, we’re delighted to share with you all the ways your pet’s “staycation” at a reputable clinic can be a safe, enjoyable experience.
Pet Boarding with Us Just Makes Sense!
When you board your pet with your veterinarian, you can rest assured that your little buddy will be in great hands while you’re away. Besides being staffed by people who love animals and are familiar with their care, other advantages of pet boarding with a vet include:
- Immediate access to medical care should an emergency occur
- Staff can easily accommodate any special medical or nutritional needs
- Staff are already familiar with your pet’s personality and medical needs
- Exercise, enrichment, and proper nutrition are prioritized
The Comforts of Home
At Bayshore, we strive to make every pet feel right at home. We accept dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, snakes, and more! Our accommodations are clean, cozy, climate-controlled, and tailored to the needs of each guest. We make sure every pet gets the attention, playtime, and exercise they need to stay happy and healthy. We’re always looking out for the health and wellness of each guest.
Just a Reminder
We understand that leaving your pet can be stressful, even when you know they’ll be in good hands. However, just remember that animals pick up on verbal and nonverbal cues, so try to keep your goodbye short and sweet in order to prevent your pet from becoming too anxious. Keeping your drop-off positive and lighthearted will communicate to your pet that there’s no need to worry.
Reunited and it Feels so Good!
Coming home to your pet is one of the best parts of the boarding experience! Having fresh water on hand when you pick them up can be helpful, as all the excitement can make your pet thirsty. Remember, it may take your pet a couple days to adjust to being home again, so a little patience and extra TLC may be in order.
At Bayshore, your pet’s health and safety is our top priority, and we’re honored to care for them while you’re away. Please let us know if you have any questions or would like to schedule a tour of our facility.
